- I had a total right hip replacement by Dr. Edgington in October 2023 and am so thankful for his expertise and skill as a surgeon and diagnostician. I initially scheduled a consultation with Dr. Edgington because I thought I needed a knee replacement. He quickly determined the main cause of my chronic, debilitating pain was my right hip. He thoroughly explained the x-ray and the risks and benefits of hip replacement. Surgery was scheduled in 3 weeks but I honestly did not believe my pain would resolve. The day of the surgery was very easy for me, the pre-surgical staff, surgical staff, post-op and the ortho floor staff were exceptional and I was up walking within 6 hrs of surgery. I am now 6 weeks post-op and have been pain free since the day of surgery! The physical therapy with home health and outpatient therapy is greatly improving my range of motion and stability in walking. I highly recommend Dr. Edgington, along, with Brittany, his surgical P.A. for your joint replacement needs.

- Dr. Edgington is kind, empathetic, professional , knowledgeable and an awesome surgeon. I came to him a couple of years ago because of bone on bone left knee pain. I ultimately knew that I would eventually need Total Knee replacement surgery (TKRS), however I was not ready at the time to go the surgery route. Dr. Edgington gave me other options to assist in controlling my pain until I was ready for TKRS. Well, I finally decided to have the surgery about 3 months ago. Needless to say I was nervous before the surgery . Dr. Edgington and his staff were very kind and reassuring, which tremendously help calm my nerves . The surgery was a success! My pain was minimal after the surgery. I am feeling better and walking better. Wish I’d done it much sooner. I would 100 percent recommend Dr. Edgington for your Orthopedic needs.

- In January, 2022 I had a full hip surgery in which I had broke the femur above and below the joint. Dr. Edgington performed the surgery. I was impressed by his professionalism, his expertise, and his gentle caring personality. He was always available pre and post surgery. He takes a personal interest in you. It’s been two years, and people ask me about my hip. I tell them my hip is great. I do anything and go anywhere I want, free of pain. I even forget that I have an implant! - This is Mary Decker. Two years ago my old half knee replacement failed. I was in a lot of pain. I found Dr. Edgington, thank God. He had me get a special CAT scan, that was used to make a new knee for my leg. I have had other knee replacements and they were horrible. This time it was different. With Dr. Edgington's expertise, I experienced very little pain and didn't even have to go to Physical Therapy for recovery. I did the exercises at home and healed quickly. Dr. Edgington was always there if I had a question or needed anything. I said to a nurse while I was in the hospital, isn't he a wonderful Doctor? She said he isn't just a wonderful Doctor, he is a wonderful human being. Well, that says it all. Kind, caring, and an expert in his field.

- Total hip replacement surgery Dr Edgington does the surgery in the front part of the leg which makes recovering much faster because he does not cut through the muscle. I used a walker two days a cane for three more days.

- Dr. Jonathan Edgington repaired my broken FEMUR bone on Nov.18,2021. I was a pedestrian hit by a car on Nov,17th & transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Hobart, Indiana. - I would like to share my experience with 2 total hip replacements. I had been in a wheelchair, unable to walk, and in excruciating pain for 2 ½ years. Several other MDs told me I had “expected” bone deterioration “for my age” and there was nothing they could do. Then I met Dr. Edgington. After diagnostic work and careful interviewing, we discussed hip replacements. When I expressed hesitation , Dr. Edgington did not dismiss any of my issues but always listened carefully and did his best to work with me. He always strived to be pro-active in preventing negative situations and experiences for me. In addition, I came to him after I had experienced an attitude of ageism and condescension from other MDs. On the other hand, Dr. Edgington quickly assessed my level of ability to comprehend the medical information and treated me accordingly, with respect and consideration, in spite of my advanced years. Upon the completion of the 2nd hip replacement, I essentially walked out of the hospital, to the car, and never looked back. Now, after 2 years, I have still nothing but positive reports.
